We designed and built an interactive mapping application for the South West World Heritage and UNESCO sites,  to promote green tourism in the region. It is a rich web application tather than a traditional website  and  made full use of the technologies used to build it, including the Google Maps API.

The Course Finder is a javascript 'widget' that allows potential students to easily locate courses on a university website.  It complements the existing navigation  and sits outside of the content management system structure to provide quick and easy access to course information.  The widgett expands out from a taskbar at the bottom of the screen to provide ready access to university course information, sitewide search tools and important "quick" links.

University College Falmouth wanted to make their content management system website more accessible to mobile phones.  With a tight budget and tighter deadlines they came to altcom to provide a phone optimised solution.

London Transport Museum, based in Covent garden, has a large collection which includes classic vehicles, posters, signs, uniforms, photos, maps and drawings. The museum website is largely delivered on the massive Transport for London (TfL) content management system. London Transport Museum wanted to create a sub-site for their Learning content, aimed at families, children and schools, and asked altcom to provide an Open Source content management solution that would integrate with the rest of the website.

When University College Falmouth wanted to create an online version of its handbook for international students, altcom came up with an innovative solution that brought together the best of a book with the advantages of a web interface. 

The Social Enterprise Mark website was commissioned by RISE South West to promotesthe Social Enterprise Mark. The content management system development and website design work was carried our by altcom using the Drupal Open Source CMS.

Brasenose College is one of Oxford University's top colleges with famous Alumni including David Cameron and Michael Palin. altcom's website development team provided new content management system for the college built with XHTML, CSS, PHP and SiFR.  The website is hosted on Brasenose's own linux servers.

altcom developed the content management system for the Architecture Centre Devon and Cornwall with branding and design provided by the Falmouth based agency, Two Design.

altcom provided the UK Parks and Gardens Database project with a fully integrated open source CMS website solution and web interface to an Oracle database holding detailed information on all the UK Parks and Gardens.

The altcom web design team designed, built and implemented a new content management system template for the University College Falmouth website. This was to synchronise the website look and feel with the new prospectus.

CMS website integrating the Google Maps API and other Ajax/Javascript widgets. Mapping and CMS are coupled to eCommerce modules allowing acres of rainforest to be sponsored and viewed on Google Maps. Services include web design, dedicated webserver, system maintenance and bespoke software development.

Web site design using supplied brand guidelines plus bespoke software in Ajax and PHP integrated with the content management system. The web site was built using an open source CMS package (Joomla!). It includes integration of the SIMILE Timeline and an email Newsletter management system.

In Spring 2006 altcom and AB Multimedia were selected to design and build a tourism targeted content management system website for the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site project.

Design, build, host and maintain this XHTML CMS website for the Live Work Network. Services also include Search Engine Marketing and Adwords. Live Work Homes is now the primary UK source for live/work property in the UK.

In 2006 altcom launched a web based microseismic news and information service using its CMS, news processing and microseismic experience. The microseis.net service provides up to date information on all aspects the rapidly developing technology of microseismic reservoir monitoring for the oil and gas and geothermal industries.

CMS website build for the Live/Work network using a supplied design.  altcom also provides web hosting, maintenance and ongoing development.  The Live/Work content management system was developed in 2003 using the old PostNuke 0.726 CMS.

altcom started a multi-sponsor R&D project called MicroSeisGram in 2007. It was aimed at the oil and gas and geothermal industries with the objective to develop a platform independent microseismic processing and Quality Control (QC) software workbench.
