Project description

Delivery of graphic design, code development, installation, commissioning and hosting of The IMAGE Project content management system website. The website is built using XHTML, CSS with PHP, MySQL running on an Apache webserver. The site is web standards compliant and achieves Level AA accessibility for most pages.

The IMAGE project is an EU funded collaboration between regeneration and planning professionals working with high rise urban housing areas in North West Europe. Such a distributed team - covering Dublin, Delft, Antwerp, Dortmund, Zurich, Paris and Bristol - needed a means for collaborating and sharing information during the project, and then disseminating the results. The system allows content to be managed by the team with maintenance and QA provided by altcom for the life of the project.

The IMAGE CMS website includes CSS based image maps, an accessible form of map based information display that can dynamically generate maps based on content.
